20th WORKSHOP: Heart & Kidney
Review of the 2023 annual meeting
In the first part of the Heart and Kidney workshop, you can expect presentations on maintaining the function of the renal arteries in stenosis and renal denervation in the treatment of high blood pressure, as well as on the use of mineral corticoid receptor antagonists in cardiac and renal insufficiency. In the second part, we will present the advantages and disadvantages of drug therapy versus apheresis treatment in the context of lipid therapy, the current state of knowledge on heart failure and the latest interventional therapy options for heart and kidney failure.

WORKSHOP 19: Heart & Kidney
Review of the 2022 annual meeting
The connection between the heart and kidneys was already discussed in ancient times and has not lost its significance to this day. Whereas in those days the question was explored as to which of the two organs might be the seat of the soul, today the focus is on how these organs can be protected from insufficiency in the modern human body. As we want to reach as many interested people as possible, we alternate between renal and cardiac topics.

18 WORKSHOP: Heart & Kidney
Review of the 2021 annual meeting
The heart and kidneys are closely linked and in almost all critically ill patients they jointly determine the course of the disease. This is impressively demonstrated by the high incidence of cardiac disease in patients with chronic renal insufficiency. The kidney patient is also a heart patient. Conversely, patients with cardiovascular disease very often have impaired renal function. Here is our review of the 18th workshop:
